Wow. I’m still in a bit of shock. I never thought I’d be able to say that I completed a 365 project. A picture a day, uploaded and edited, for a whole year. I’ve wanted to do one for years, but never thought that I had the skill for one, Or the perseverance. Or an interesting enough life.
But, one day I realized that the boys were only getting bigger and time was slipping through my fingers. I found myself shooting almost daily in 2014, after taking workshops from Colie James Photography and Kate Densmore, so I figured 2015 was a great time to start a project. I wanted to use the project to hone my photography skills and to document our life. Our crazy, unorganized, boring life.
I only missed shooting one day. I felt that bringing my camera with me to lay my grandmother to rest was inappropriate. That being said, here’s a recap.
The first three months of the year were warmer than normal. We got to spend a lot of time outside. Sean met a goal he set for himself and learned to ride his bike. Connor continue to hate having his hair cut but started to do some big toy chores. Sean spent a lot of time with me at school and Connor spent a lot of time eating rice.
April found us in Arizona, visiting Grandma the Great. Sean dreamed of dinosaurs and Connor continued his displays of his unique fashion sense. Tball started and we put in the garden. Somehow, Sean found himself finishing his first of school (tears on my part) and a big red Jeep entered our life. Grandma Izzie called us back to Cheyenne where we started saying our goodbyes. June was a hard month for me, but my boys and their adventures brightened my days.
July, August and September were a blur of birthdays, time with friends, and time in the water. Sean started 1st grade and Connor started preschool. We got to watch Sean play soccer (and I admit that I think he rocked it) and Connor continued to flirt with girls in the park.
October was a crazy warm month and I drug the boys outside to enjoy the most of it. Our best friends came to visit. It was a short visit, but we always love having them here. We cut our first real Christmas tree went sledding afterward. Christmas was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was such a great year. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for us!
