Southern Wyoming Newborn Photographer
As a newborn photographer, watching a babe grow up through my lens is something quite magical. Watching him become a big brother is mesmerizing. I’ve had the pleasure of telling big brother Josh’s story for the past 3 years. My sweet friend keeps calling me back to photograph her growing family. I am more than happy to make that trip south across Wyoming (it’s worth the drive, even in the snowstorm we encountered this time) to see my friends and to let my boys see theirs.
This trip I got to try out my new session style and I am over the moon with how this lifestyle session turned out. Newborn sessions can be quite stressful for Mom. When shooting them so shortly after birth, she worries about her post baby belly, how she’ll look on so little sleep, and if everyone will be happy that day. But when big brother isn’t yet 3 it’s even more taxing. She has to worry about Dad being relaxed and brother smiling for the camera, sitting on cue, and not having a meltdown. In home sessions take that pressure off her shoulders. When big bro was tired of me he and Dad got to go play with Matchbox cars. I think they actually ended up outside before I called them back in for the final family shot on in the master bedroom.
I can’t wait to see what Caleb looks like when I shoot his 3 month session in about a month! In the meantime, here is his slideshow to enjoy 🙂
