When I got married, it was important to me that I not see my groom the day of the wedding. I’m not really sure why I chose to do that. We didn’t have the popular “First Look” session that so many couples are doing now. Neither did Melissa and Geoff. But, they did something just as special. Choosing not to see each other before the ceremony, they still shared a special moment, exchanging notes. A door kept them separate, but not apart. Watching this private moment was special to me. To see these two, nervous and excited, express their love for each other without the benefit of seeing each other, was something I’ll remember for a long time. Seeing them together, later, relaxed and together, was even more special. That’s for another post, however.
So. Here is a preview. A “First Look”, Slater style.
Mom saw her.
Geoff “saw” her.
Dad saw her. This was a true first look.
Melissa’s boys saw her.
He SAW her.
And so did everyone else.
