powell engagement photographer | their story

Why do I include engagement sessions as part of my wedding packages?  I could charge “extra” for them.  I could offer them separately.  But, this way, I’m almost guaranteed at least an hour to get to know my engaged couples.  We meet at a location of their choice, in Powell or the surrounding area, and we spend time getting to know each other.  The neat thing about this time together is I learn not only their history, but often their family’s.

For example, Mallory and Forrest chose to do their engagements on the land that Forrest’s family homesteaded generations ago.  We wandered around chatting, laughing, always on the lookout for the big buck that lived nearby.  They told me their love story, and how an entire courtyard of people inadvertently watched their engagement happen.  I learned a small piece of the Musser story, as well. As usual, I learned that we have people in common, which usually happens in Wyoming.

We’re a week away from Mallory and Forrest’s wedding. I’m so excited to see this sweet couple become man and wife.  I can’t wait to tell their story.
